We’re looking for a part-time Junior Brewer / Cellar Person to join the Powell Brewery team. This is an entry level position with tremendous opportunity for on the job learning and growth within the company. Qualified applicants will have:

• Passion for the art and science of brewing, willingness to learn and grow with the position and company

• Knowledge of chemical safety and best practices working with materials under pressure

• Strong attention to detail and be dependable

• The ability to follow and understand strict SOP’s (standard operating procedures)

• Ability to take direction and work independently

• Fun, positive attitude and teamwork mentality

• The ability to lift up to 55 lbs multiple times throughout the work shift and maneuver up to 165 lbs.

• Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills

• Working on feet all day on concrete floor. Sometimes wet, cold, hot and noisy areas, working safely with strong chemicals, pressure vessels, and machinery. 

Job Duties Include, but are not limited to:

• Keg washing/filling

• Draft line cleaning and maintenance

• Work on the canning line

• Accurate record keeping of daily work

• Fermenter and Brite tank CIP

• General cleaning and maintenance of all tanks and equipment

• Tank transfers, dry hopping and other additions

• Milling in grain

• Carbonating beer

• Assist brewers in brewing operations as needed

• Load and unload shipments with forklift

• Other brewery related tasks and maintenance as needed

 

Compensation: $15.00/hour (Hours 24-40 hours per week)
