Sales Representative - Liquor Stores

We’re currently looking to add a Full Time Sales Representative to sell our packaged products in the lower mainland. If you have at least 2 years experience as a sales representative in the craft beer industry, have a serious passion for craft beer, are incredibly sociable, and want to be part of a tight knit growing brewery, this position might be for you.


As a Sales Representative you will be responsible for the sale and promotion of our packaged product to Private Liquor Stores as well as BC Government Liquor Stores. The successful candidate will grow sales volumes, open new accounts and maintain existing relationships. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with the ability to work effectively on his or her own. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is extremely goal-oriented and driven, who is willing to learn and grow in the craft beer industry. The following are some of the aspects of the job.


Core duties:
  • Pre-plan and execute sales calls to new and existing customers

  • Build outstanding relationships with accounts.

  • Develop expert beer knowledge and understanding of Powell Brewery's product line.

  • Increase market share in the lower mainland and surrounding areas.

  • Develop and maintain targeted sales plans on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis

  • Coordinate and conduct tastings and events

  • Accurately report activities and account information to management.

  • Track all activities via CRM software

  • Manage individual time and activities to maximize sales.

  • Plan and administer budgets, develop business case proposals and execution

  • Participate in weekly sales meetings


  • Min.2 years experience in craft beer sales

  • A serious knowledge & passion for craft beer and the craft beer industry

  • Easy going with a happy disposition

  • Excellent social skills

  • Team player

  • Post-Secondary education in business

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills

  • Strong customer service skill

  • Demonstrated ability in negotiation and professional selling

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office and Apple Technology

  • Highly motivated to achieve goals and targets

  • Excellent listener, ability to retain information and follow directions

  • Experience working in or with the food and beverage industry

  • SIR certificate

  • Must have a BC driver's license

  • Must have a clean abstract - to be supplied prior to interview

  • Must have you're own vehicle - monthly allowance provided

Compensation: $35,000.00 to $50,000.00/year (based on experience) + commission
