Craft Beer Territory Manager - Vancouver

At Powell Brewery we brew amazing beer and we’re searching for an equally amazing person to help sell our beer at Vancouver based bars and restaurants. Although gaining sales is the desired outcome, being a brand ambassador and focusing on building strong long lasting partner relationships is what this position is all about. The ideal candidate should posses a love of craft beer with an outgoing, sociable, and friendly personality, while still having that competitive, detail oriented, and target driven professionalism. JOB DUTIES:
  • Be a brand ambassador for our company

  • Visit existing and potential partners on a daily basis

  • Build and maintain strong partner relationships

  • Develop expert knowledge and understanding of our product line

  • Provide on going product knowledge training to partner’s staff

  • Source, organize, and participate in a variety of special events

  • Inform management of activities along with partner updates via daily CRM entries

  • Continually increase market share

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Lives in the City of Vancouver

  • Has an extroverted personality

  • 1-3 years experience as a Beer Sales Representative or related hospitality experience.

  • Strong interpersonal relationship building skills

  • Possesses a passion for beer with a deep understanding of beer styles, production methods, and current trends.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to negotiate and sell professionally.

  • Has the desire and ability to continuously learn.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office or similar software

  • A BC driver’s License with proof of a clean abstract

  • Has a reliable vehicle

  • Ability to lift 50lbs

 

WORKING HOURS:
  • Flexible schedule but expected to work full time hours (40 hours per week)

  • Manage own schedule around bar and restaurant business hours

  • Be available to service partners as needed but within reason

  • Some weekend hours may be required

  • This is not a 9 to 5 position.

 

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE:
  • Base Salary of $48,000 per annum with very achievable minimum sales targets

  • Monthly performance reviews to ensure sales are on track.

  • Quarterly bonuses based on sales performance

  • High earning potential for motivated individuals.

  • Vehicle allowance
